So that general election was complete bullshit. After staying up all night gradually getting crushed by the Tories sweeping to power, I spent a day listening to Krautrock and being miserable over the state of the country. As a result, No No No was created and recorded in a couple of hours. I wanted to share it with you all quickly so here it is as a single. The other A side is a gentle, mellow track, a poem about the crushing nature of everyday disappointments set to music. As for B sides, Ruins is an experiment in ambience recorded whilst I was making Drifters. It didn't quite fit onto that album, so it's featured here. Oh Man is essentially a three instrument improvisation done in about twenty minutes, each track in one take, and Sun Through the Concrete sounds like a soundtrack to those Japanese RPGs I used to play as a kid.
Remember, the election may have been lost, but we can still make a change. Despair, yes, but channel it into anger and activism and do what we can to improve the lives of everyone, together. We have a duty to each other and that doesn't just mean once every five years. There is always something to be done.
